Our students Aitana (1st year of high school), Gonzalo (1st year of high school), and Alejandro (4th year of middle school) are in Huesca participating in the National Phase of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Congress.

Students from more than 40 countries are grouped into different committees to debate in English and contribute ideas and concrete proposals to solve some of the most important problems facing the world today. After the committee work, the different proposals are taken to the grand debate.

Committees in which our students have participated:

> Aitana – IMCO I Committee

Topic: What should the European Union do to control ‘greenwashing,’ which many companies use to hide the environmental damage they cause?

> Gonzalo – LIBE Committee

Topic: How should the European Union address the issue of immigration, especially in light of the recent crises caused by the wars in Syria and Ukraine?

> Alejandro – FEMM Committee

Topic: How should the European Union address the problem of trafficking in women, caused by organized crime that controls prostitution networks?
