The Value of School Radio and Television for Students

At Liceo Europeo, giving students the opportunity to participate in the school’s radio and television programmes is an excellent way to develop practical skills that will benefit them throughout their academic and professional lives.

Taking part in interviews, news reports, podcasts, debates and audiovisual productions helps students improve their communication, confidence and public speaking abilities. It also encourages creativity, teamwork, responsibility and the capacity to organise ideas clearly.

School radio and television allow pupils to experience different roles, including presenter, journalist, scriptwriter, producer, camera operator and editor. This practical approach helps them discover new interests while gaining valuable knowledge of media, technology and digital communication.

These activities also promote critical thinking. Students learn how to research information, verify sources, prepare content and communicate messages in a responsible and engaging way. In an increasingly digital world, these are essential skills for many future careers.

By participating in school media, students become more confident, independent and prepared for real-life challenges. At Liceo Europeo, radio and television are not only creative activities, but powerful educational tools that help pupils express themselves, work with others and prepare for a successful future.
