Liceo Europeo Secundaria 2

Secondary Education is a decisive stage in students’ academic, personal, and emotional development. At Liceo Europeo, we support them through an educational model that combines academic rigor, personalized attention, and the development of critical thinking, within an environment where each student can progress according to their pace, interests, and talents.

Our approach integrates active methodologies, project-based learning, and experiences beyond the classroom, fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and growing autonomy. At the same time, the close guidance of teachers and tutors ensures continuous support during a particularly important stage for personal growth.

A multilingual and international education, together with specific enrichment programs, exchanges, academic trips, and interdisciplinary projects, allows students to broaden their perspective on the world and develop essential skills for the future.

The goal is to educate confident, responsible young people who are able to think independently and are prepared to face the academic and personal challenges of the next educational stages with judgment, flexibility, and confidence.

  • A truly multilingual environment. Immersion and curricular learning in Spanish and English, with subjects and assessments also in Chinese, French, and German. Students complete Secondary Education with a high level of language proficiency and may sit for official certifications such as Cambridge CAE, DELF B2, HSK, or FIT 2, as the school is an official examination center.
  • Active learning and critical thinking. Students research, create materials, organize ideas, present projects, and participate in debates. They learn to think, argue, and communicate, developing intellectual autonomy.
  • Collaborative and experiential methodologies. Cooperative work, interdisciplinary projects, the use of digital tools, and volunteer activities that reinforce social responsibility and teamwork.
  • Introduction to the scientific method. Practical work in laboratories plays a central role, where students observe, experiment, formulate hypotheses, and understand concepts through experience.
  • Learning connected to the real world. Academic trips, educational outings, cultural visits, and fieldwork that allow students to directly explore historical, scientific, and social contexts.

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT AND VALUES

Education in values is an essential part of the learning process and is lived daily in the life of the school. Through initiatives such as the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) subject, volunteer programs, and the many charitable campaigns carried out throughout the school year, students have the opportunity to engage in projects that foster empathy, responsibility, commitment, and social awareness.

This process is always built in close collaboration with families, whom we consider a fundamental part of the educational community. Meeting spaces such as Family Meetings, Breakfast Chats, and other direct participation initiatives allow for sharing reflections, experiences, and tools to support students’ personal growth together. In this way, the school and families work in the same direction: shaping individuals who are committed, empathetic, and conscious of their role in society.

INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSION AND CREATIVITY

We aim for each student to discover and develop their natural talents, providing spaces to explore their interests and take them beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as the academic and creative clubs linked to the Vermont Academy program, debate and public speaking projects, participation in sports clubs and federations, or creative initiatives like the school magazine Liceo Times, students find real opportunities to research, express themselves, compete, create, and lead. These experiences complement academic learning and allow each student to strengthen their skills, gain confidence, and discover new passions in an environment that values personal initiative and the development of individual talent.
