Ideas and purposes of Liceo Europeo

ILE
Our model, inspired by the pedagogical principles of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza, seeks “not to disturb childhood and adolescence by prematurely introducing human divisions”, and incorporates the educational and didactic principles provided by the latest neuroscientific research.

HUMAN RIGHTS
We are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, advocating education in freedom, with equal rights and respect for diversity.
With absolute respect for the student, the protagonist of their own learning —Active Learning—, respecting their personal traits and differences, multiple intelligences…

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
International pedagogical guidance is one of our hallmarks.
We offer a variety of programs: American methodology in Early Childhood Education (ages 1–6), all International Baccalaureate programs (ages 3–18), and the U.S. College Preparatory School Diploma (ages 14–18).

LANGUAGES
Complete command of the English language.
We consider total immersion in a multilingual environment a priority, ensuring the use and mastery of other languages, including frequent exchanges with young people from other countries and cultures: English, Chinese, French, German…

SCIENCE
Respect for, use of, and incorporation of the scientific method and research in our active teaching approach.

We believe in nurturing the soul, but also the body, which is why we provide students with the most modern sports facilities, including paddle courts, swimming pools, and more, across our 30,000 m² of gardens and carefully maintained green areas.

PLAY
We place great importance on play so that children, starting from one year old, associate happiness with school.

TECHNOLOGY
We firmly believe in progress and incorporate the latest technological advances into our model (interactive whiteboards, tablets, robotics, programming and digital design, animation techniques…).

CLIMATE AND TEAMWORK
We believe in the need to create an emotionally supportive environment around the student, reinforcing their self-esteem, while also promoting teamwork, initiative, and cooperative learning…
