Its educational project combines four traditions – the Free Institution of Education, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Renaissance and Enlightenment humanism, and the International Baccalaureate – to support a pedagogy of inquiry, scientific method, and 21st-century skills (creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration). In the Sixth Form, it offers a variety of pathways and, as an additional option, incorporates the Vermont Academy online programme for Years 9–12. On a day-to-day basis, there is an ecosystem of activities that combines debate in English (EYP) and public speaking tournaments, morning reading clubs (Good Morning with a Book) and conversation spaces such as Liceo Radio, with specific workshops for gifted students (Mind Shapers) and a monthly series of Family Encounters. Cooking and food education are integrated with Skook Food Studio and the Eat & Learn workshop, and the centre reinforces its global dimension by joining UNESCO’s ASPnet, aligning projects with human rights, sustainability and a culture of peace.
