The work is not limited to the classroom: students receive <strong>specific training to participate in school and national tournaments<\/strong>, with a practical methodology adapted to each stage. This initiative responds to the <strong>growing demand for communication skills that, beyond exams, are decisive in increasingly competitive professional environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/liceo-europeo.es\/en\/vermontacademy\/\">Vermont Academy American<\/a> programme expands horizons and places<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Vermont Academy at <a href=\"https:\/\/liceo-europeo.es\/en\/\">Liceo Europeo<\/a> programme<\/strong>, which offers students the opportunity <strong>to study the American Baccalaureate within the school itself<\/strong>, has been strengthened with an expanded academic offer and an increased number of places. Three new university-profile subjects\u2014<strong>Anthropology, Economics, and Psychology<\/strong>\u2014have been added to the curriculum, with a focus on preparing students for the transition to higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside this academic expansion comes an innovative extracurricular proposal: <strong>School Clubs<\/strong>. These groups, inspired by the tradition of American campuses, aim to foster collaborative work around shared interests. The <strong>Journalism Club<\/strong> will allow students to edit and publish a school newspaper; the <strong>Yearbook Club<\/strong> will document the academic and social life of the school year; and the <strong>Entrepreneurship Club<\/strong> will introduce students to the fundamentals of business initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this commitment, the school brings students closer to the Anglo-Saxon university model, where active participation in clubs and associations is an essential part of the educational experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Demand for this programme has been so significant that the school has been forced to implement structural changes in the building itself to meet the interest of families<\/strong>. The renovation of spaces has made it possible to expand classrooms and reorganise resources, reaffirming the school\u2019s commitment to offering a high-level international academic pathway without the need to leave Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A constantly evolving campus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The start of the academic year comes with a profound transformation of the infrastructure. <strong>The comprehensive renovation of the second floor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/liceo-europeo.es\/en\/stages\/baccalaureate\/\">Baccalaureate <\/a>building<\/strong>, with 365 square metres of built surface, is the most significant project carried out over the summer. The fully renovated space now offers even brighter classrooms thanks to glass enclosures, <strong>independent climate control systems, modernised administrative offices, and a double-glazing system with ventilation and air purification.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These improvements aim not only at comfort but also at the health and well-being of students and teachers. The design focuses on transparency and open spaces, creating a more dynamic environment adapted to the challenges of modern education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campus renovation is not limited to the Baccalaureate building. Over recent months, a new ventilation system has been installed in the dining hall, <strong>solar panels have been expanded, and a 28,000-litre rainwater collection system has been implemented<\/strong>, regulated by a weather station for efficient irrigation of green areas. Access to Early Years gardens has also been improved, playgrounds have been renewed with <strong>new safety sand<\/strong>, and the <strong>Science Department facilities have been upgraded with more modern resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A long-term strategy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these interventions are part of a continuous modernisation plan launched in 2015. <strong>Every summer, the school uses the academic break to carry out new works, in a sustained process that combines innovation, sustainability, and respect for the school\u2019s identity. <\/strong>The periodic campus reforestation every five years, carried out by the students themselves, stands as a symbolic example of its environmental and educational commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, presented as an ongoing transformation, <strong>will continue in the coming years with even more ambitious developments<\/strong>. The goal is to offer a modern, safe, and sustainable learning environment in line with the academic excellence that defines the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More than four decades of educational excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these developments add to Liceo Europeo\u2019s <strong>more than 40 years of experience and to an international academic offer that combines the Spanish Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate, and the American programme<\/strong>.
